Some people wondered about the pattern. I didn’t really have one, I sketched it and drew directly on test fabric and draped it from there. These are some progress pics, from original, to ugly insides, to final product. The original Tumblr post about The Coat is this one here, So, I needed a coat…

Not for the faint hearted - some experience adjusting and drafting would be helpful, or just go at it with a test piece first in cheap fabric. Everyone’s been asking us if we’re going any further with the relationship between John and Sherlock, and I’m thinking, well, why not? I really don’t see the problem with it, and Mark (Gatiss) has already asked us if it would be an issue if we were to kiss on screen. Of course he was joking, but I wouldn’t mind at all.
